The holiday season is here and we know you’re busy decking your halls with some fa la la! Here are some trends and tips we’re seeing in this year’s holiday décor:
Natural Sustainability
Evergreens are always in and this year even more so. Real greens smell fabulous and have a natural beauty. If you must use fake, which is sometimes more practical and actually sustainable if you repurpose them, then make sure it’s a good fake.
Nostalgia and Traditions
We’re all craving a simpler time, so consider traditional tartan, collectible displays and favorite ornaments displayed in different ways like wired on a wreath or garland or displayed in a beautiful glass jar.
Fun and Festive
Don’t be afraid to make your own trends by incorporating the color palette you already have in your home or by adding a bright pop of color with bows, bells and more. Check out our House Beautiful resource below for 100 ideas! One or two are sure to jingle your bells! Don’t miss how some families incorporate more than one celebration into their decorations.

Here’s the T on the Christmas tree and other holiday designs: maybe decorating isn’t your cup of tea or you’re not, sure where to begin. RA Designs, yes, our beloved Ricky Alverio, can create a custom holiday display for your home or business that will celebrate your space and keep your holidays merry and bright.
Sometimes it just makes sense to let someone do what they do best. When he’s not designing beautiful displays, Ricky’s also designing beautiful meals that feed your heart and soul. Catering just might be the perfect option and/or the perfect gift this holiday season. Less is more is a great approach, when it comes to keeping stress to a minimum.
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa; all of the above or none of the above, we wish you peace this season.
